Paintings.

My paintings relate directly to surgery. Before starting my paintings, I wrapped a classmate in white sheets which had been torn, representing the bandages used in surgery and photographed her in several positions. I then painted the image onto canvas using acrylic paints as-well as incorperating stitch. To achieve this, the canvas was removed from the frame, stitched on the sewing machine and the restapled onto the frame. I would like to do more paintings like this perhaps using hand embroidery techniques as-well as experimenting with and changing the font and the composition. As-well as creating paintings, I used the same images to create prints.
